Understanding Your Time and Season

“…ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?” – Matthew 16:3
Are you watching your timing? This is a question I often ask people who seem to be lost and discouraged. Watching your timing means understanding what time and season you currently are in. The Bible says: “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:” – Ecclesiastes 3:7. Wisdom is what tells you what time and season you are in at any given point.

I’ve said before that man is always looking forward to what God is going to do, and looking backwards to what He has done but often misses what He is doing right now. What season of life are you in right now? What opportunities are in front of you waiting to be seized? At what phase of life are you currently in and what should you be doing today to get to the next phase? These are wisdom questions and If you do not know the answers to these questions, it is helpful that you to ask wisdom from the father who gives freely to all men. I find myself asking for wisdom of the father all the time.
