You are no doubt, part of a team, be it a sports team, a family team, a job’s team, a school team, a church team – whatever. If yours is a good (does not have to be perfect) and functioning team, then you owe it to yourself and to your team mates to do all that is in your power to help the team. Pull your weight, and then pull some more. Don’t slack, give it your all. Help the team.
Helping the team means you have to do some introspection. Take a long and hard look at yourself, to determine what it is you bring to the table. There is something you can do, that no one else in the team can do as well. Lock in on that and help the team. Sometimes sitting out and allowing someone better at a task, do it, is the best way you can help the team, in the moment. Your goal should be simple, help the team.
Ask yourself this questions when you wake up in the morning. What can I do today to help the team? I know I’m injured, I’m of limited capacity at the moment, I don’t have a lot of resources, I don’t have a lot of time and my training is not up to par with the rest of the team members, yet what is it that I can do to help the team? Surely there is one thing you can do, if you can do two – fine, five things? – even better. Just Do It. Contribute. Whatever it takes. Help the team
As we say out West, If a man can’t skin, he must hold a leg while someone else does.
