Why do you always brag on Jesus Christ?
People ask this question from time to time. He was just a good man, they say, perhaps a prophet as some Muslims assert. Well, I agree he was 100% man, but I brag on Him because he also was 100% God. Let me explain:
Jesus Christ was 100% man when he was sleeping in a boat, exhausted from the hard day’s work. But when he stood up and rebuked the wind, saying ‘Peace be still”, and that violent storm ceased immediately at his word – That was 100% God. He was 100% man when he wept over the death of his beloved friend Lazarus, but when he stood up and said “Lazarus, come forth”; and a man who had been dead 3 days came out of the grave alive – That had to be 100% God.
He was 100% man who felt the pangs of hunger on several occasions, but when he, with 2 loaves of bread and 2 fishes, fed 5,000 people – That was 100% God. He was 100% man when he was strewn out on a cross, bleeding and left to die. He died like a man, he died in so much that the sun hid itself. He died till the veil in the temple was torn in two. He died till they embalmed him and laid him out in a tomb. But 3 days later, He rose from the dead as he promised- that was 100% God.
The intriguing part is that He, 100% God, lives in you. Think about it, rejoice, and go a-bragging!
