During a very tough patch of my life several years ago when my family and finances were in shambles, I discovered what I call “The 3G” that helped me overcome very severe circumstances. For the first time, I am happy to share these.
1. God: God is sovereign. He determines who will succeed and who will fail, as His word state:
… I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy , and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion”. Romans 9:15.
There is no questioning His authority or His grace, the wise path is to align ourselves with His cause. That way, we are successful because He is and always will be successful. Bono puts it this way:
Stop asking God to bless what you’re doing. Find out what God’s doing. It’s already blessed.

2. Group: This is having a great group of people around you. People that come together for a cause and purpose. People who will speak life and correction, if need be, into your life.
For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counselors there is safety” – Proverbs 24:6
Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask , it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven” – Matthew 18:19

3. Game plan: There is no questioning. We see this in sports, war; that in getting, in succeeding – there ought to be a game plan. Not that the game plan always pans out rightly or plays out correctly, but even a bad game plan is better than no game plan at all. Mostly, success is intentional. It takes visioning, planning and execution. The best game plan I’ve found is the Bible. It contains a blessed blueprint for your life. Read it, savor it and strategize with it.
Or what King, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand? – Luke 14:31
So there you have it – The 3G that has helped me. I pray they be of help to you too.
