I had my life all planned out. I was going to start University at the age of 16, graduate at 20 and do some other things, big things. Well, things didn’t go exactly as planned. The University admission was not forthcoming, when it finally came, the financing was not lining up squarely. Then came headaches over the permission to travel. It was not an easy ordeal, but through it all, I knew it will happen but I just had to WAIT and hear my mom say frequently, “Uche, delay is not denial”. While waiting, I had to continually praise God for who He is and that He can do what He says He can do.
I had to be thankful. I had to keep a great attitude and I had to embrace the moment believing God when He says:

… I am thy shield and thy exceeding great reward – Genesis 15:1

Needless, to say, everything fell in place eventually and my goals and aspirations were surpassed. See, patience is not simply waiting .., everyone has to wait at some point/ juncture of their lives. Patience is what you do while waiting. Abraham once had to wait on God’s promise against all odds. Below is his patience report. Can the same be said of us?

He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;  And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised , he was able also to perform. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness” – Romans 4:18
