I recall that, when Jesus was offered the kingdoms of the world by the devil, he did not eagerly accept it, but rebuked the devil. He knew it was all His, and He would get it back ultimately. Jesus was content.
When Jacob offered Esau gifts, upon their reconciliatory meeting, Esau said he had enough – as did Jacob, who also said he had enough too. In 2020, may you be enraptured by the “God of enough”. May you have enough. The Lord will be your sufficiency. As you seek Him first, as you steadfastly behold His face, may He add all these other things that you need for life and righteousness. For godliness and contentment. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
But godliness with contentment is great gain. – 1 Timothy 6:6
