Lira—located in northern Uganda—is a rapidly growing city marked by resilience and hope. After decades of conflict, the region is rebuilding its social and economic foundations, and with 70% of the population under the age of 30, the spiritual future of this city is being shaped right now. While Christianity is established, local pastors have been earnestly praying for renewal and strengthening within the Church.
In response to their invitation and united prayers, we stepped out in faith to conduct a mass gospel crusade—believing God for revival that would awaken hearts, unite churches, and strengthen discipleship across the city. God was faithful, and He moved powerfully.
Over the course of three days of revival meetings, we estimate that more than 15,500 people gathered. Most significantly, approximately 3,100 individuals—nearly 20% of attendees—made first-time decisions to place their faith in Jesus Christ. A genuine move of God swept through the crowds as hearts were softened and lives were transformed.
Uganda has one of the youngest populations in the world, and it was a joy to see so many young people responding to the gospel. Though we faced a few logistical challenges along the way—sound, lighting, mobilization, and security—the Lord helped us overcome each one, and the unity among churches only grew stronger. As a joyful expression of gratitude, we even rang in the New Year with a beautiful display of fireworks, celebrating all that God had done.
I was also deeply grateful to have my wife, Ella, accompany me on this trip. Her presence and support were a tremendous blessing. Over the three nights, I preached messages calling people to believe that they can become who God has called them to be—and then, through Scripture, declaring the powerful truth that each one is invited to be a son or daughter of God.
The impact did not end when the meetings concluded. The very next Sunday, local pastors reported that many of these new believers filled their churches—some for the first time ever. While we recognize that better follow-up systems will help us steward future harvests even more effectively, we rejoice in what God has already begun in this vibrant city.
We are profoundly thankful to be part of what God is doing in Lira—and none of this would be possible without you. Your prayers and sacrificial giving are bearing eternal fruit, helping take the gospel to the ends of the earth. Thank you for standing with us and believing God for revival.
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us – Ephesians 3:20 KJV
