Happy Anniversary to the one and only Ella – my Nubian queen. The fact I wrote this from Mahwah, New Jersey, where we celebrated, shows what a huge blessing she has been in my life. A few days ago, we (well actually, I) decided to visit Mahwah, NJ. There were no hesitations when she heard this. In the short notice she received, she made it work. And that is no easy feat considering our family routine. You see, I am a go getter, who executes with extreme speed. I often act spontaneously even though I’ve simmered the action/ decision in my mind over a long period of time. Whereas my wife Ella is more reserved, more patient and way more stable than I am. She adds grace, balance and beauty to me and the family. We are blessed to have her in our lives. Celebrate the wives and mothers in your lives today and everyday – it is only fitting.
