As we proceeded to the supermarket checkout a few hours ago, my 5 year old Esther asked loudly: “Daddy when are you ever going to get a job?” Lol. The people around me laughed. A gentleman in front of me apologized. I too shared in the laughter. Little Esther’s mind was thinking: “How is daddy going to buy me things he bought for me before, if he no longer has that job?”. Fair thought. She did observe I had left a good career to answer my calling into full time ministry.

When we got home, I saw a refund mail waiting on my desk for $351.68. This will go to fund the air ticket for my trip to India next month. Speaking of which, if you are around Northern India, I will love to see you on the 27th of October in Dhariwal, Punjab. There will be a special visitation of God in healing and breakthrough. God has never failed to provide through miracles, and never will. God has proven over and over that when you take care of His work, He takes care of you.

Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke, obscurely and penuriously laboring in Soweto many years ago, invited a well known healing minister to pray for the sick, while he preached. Reinhard then doubted God could heal through him. The minister backed out at the last minute and Reinhard was forced to preach and pray for the sick. That was uncharted territory, but God did heal the sick that night and provide many a salvation. Reinhard said his ministry really took off that night. He was launched from preaching to tens of people, to tens of thousands of people overnight – a stratospheric launch that has seen millions of souls saved.

Reinhard took care of God’s work by organizing the meetings and God took care of Reinhard by providing the miracles. Peter took care of God’s work by providing the boat, and God took care of Peter by providing an abundance of fish and yes, a plethora of saved men, and women too. Hannah took care of God’s work by giving her only son Samuel and God took care of Hannah by delivering her and her country from the Philistines. I could go on but the truth is, that as you yield to your call today, as you say yes to your purpose, as you commit to doing God’s work on earth. He will do things to remind you of the truism: “God always takes care of His own”.

When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord. For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken: …And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men. – Luke 5:8-10
