Despite deep devotion to traditional religions, the people of Nepal are searching—searching for peace, healing, and answers to life’s greatest struggles. Many communities face overwhelming challenges, including poverty, and social inequality. With Nepal’s GDP per capita under $1,500 and nearly one in three households relying on remittances just to survive, the need for hope is urgent and real.
At the same time, the Christian movement in Nepal is young, growing under pressure. and God is moving powerfully. With this backdrop, working in tandem with an incredible local team of Pastors, I preached the gospel clearly and boldly to the youths at a mini crusade in Chitwan and at a mass crusade in Dhading District.
The field location for the mass crusade was very remote and high up in the mountains. The journey up there was treacherous. But upon arrival, when we saw the crowd, we forgot our sorrows, like the woman who just gave birth forgets the pains and is joyous to see the new baby.
Throughout the meetings, we pointed hearts to Christ, and as we prayed together, the presence of God was tangible. What followed was a powerful time marked by healing and miracles across the crowd. People testified of God’s touch, and in one especially striking moment that rippled across the crowd, the local witch doctor came forward requesting prayer.
The official attendance count reached approximately 7,500 people. Even more remarkable, about 70%—roughly 5,250 individuals—made first-time decisions to follow Jesus Christ. This was truly a team effort—local pastors, leaders, volunteers, and intercessors working together in unity. And the fruit continues: the Sunday following the crusade, we received reports that local churches were filled to capacity as new believers stepped into fellowship and discipleship.
Thank you for standing with us. Your prayers and partnership are helping bring the hope of Christ to places hungry for truth—and we are witnessing lives transformed by the power of the gospel.
A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world. – John 16:21 KJV
