I lost my fiance last month and my god-sister in days of each other. They were the two closest people in my life. I didn’t know how to go on but God has carried me through the one thing I thought I couldn’t make it through. I feel God ministering and upholding my heart in his hands and his grace keeps me in ways like I don’t know. I thank God for loving me so. – Carrie Martin. “This is what it means to be held, when the sacred is torn from your life, and you survive”. – Christa Wells {Testimony}

Creating

I read a book many years ago, by Chris Onyhakhilome, titled “Recreating Your World“.  I credit this book for instilling in me the sense that I can make of life what I want it to be. God is a creator. He made me in his image and likeness, so I am a creator too. As I’ve matured in Christianity, I’ve added to the above, a sense of seeing myself more as a manager than as a creator. So instead of trying so hard to create my future, I’ve learned to seek the future God is creating for me, and manage it. Instead of creating my own ministry, I seek God’s hand in my life and follow accordingly, seeing amazing results that leave me awestruck daily. I’ve reduced my penchant for asking God to bless my creation and instead leaned in to what God is creating, knowing that it is already blessed.

Managing

Adam’s commission in the garden was not necessarily to create a Lion, but to lean in to what God had already created and simply name it, to manage it. By so doing, Adam became a creator. Just as Alexander Fleming is credited as the creator of Penicillin when he merely discovered it. It’s why Jesus went into a crowd full of sick people, and healed one person. Not that He was creating His own healing plan. He was actively watching the father, the creator, and whatever He saw the father do, He did. When He saw His Father raise Lazarus from the dead, He had the confidence to tell Mary and Martha that their brother was only sleeping. He was managing in the physical, that which was being created in the supernatural. Oh, I hope you get this insight.

The Application

God is the creator. You are to continually go to Him in prayer and ask, “what are you creating now”? “What are Your plans this month”? Upon receiving orders from headquarters, you are to manage the creation and manifest it physically. In so doing, you align yourself to the creator and become a creator yourself. Yes, you are made in the image and likeness of the creator. Yes, you can go it alone and create. Or you can find out what the creator is creating, and then manage it. That seems like a better option, won’t you agree? And God will make you look like a great creator in the process.

Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise – John 5:19
