Living Works

Before I accepted Christ as my personal Lord and Savior, I was, well a ... "Christian". In fact, that's my middle name. You see, I grew up in the Church, my mom being a very active Church planter. Yet in spite of this clear advantage, I wasn't making strides in life. I knew I was busy everyday but I couldn't point to one or two things of significance that I had accomplished. There was movement, but no achievement. There was motion but no arrival. While I was not the baddest guy in my school, I wasn't recognized for being good either. Things I did were not necessarily sin, but neither were they righteous. I was coasting, doing things of insignificance. I was exhibiting symptoms of a life filled with dead works. [...]

But the days are a-changing. Today, it is possible to reach hundreds of thousands of people with the life saving message of Jesus Christ in one day - without climbing [...]

What is God Doing Now? Pt 5

People go through very hard seasons. Take for example Job, a man of great means. Blessed in every sense of the word. Unequaled in Children, livestock, community leadership, pristine reputation - you name it. Most of all, Job could boast of a solid relationship with God, and God could boast back, calling Job perfect. God gave permission to the devil to touch Job's circumstance but not his life. The devil ran wild with it, destroying all of Jobs possessions, killing his children and striking him with physical maladies. Job was told that the fire of God fell from heaven to do the destruction. Imagine how grief stricken Job was in that instant, yet I believe He found it in his heart to ask: "What is God doing now". The God [...]

What is God Doing Now? Pt 4

The roar of the crowd was deafening. Heat from the kindled fire could be felt from miles away. Beads of sweat protruded from the brows of 3 gentlemen, dropping to their chest. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego mopped what they could of the perspiration but it was soon replaced by new sprouts. "Renounce your God", a spectator cried out loudly as they were led to the fire. "You can always pick Him back up when you are forgiven by our King. If He is such a good God, maybe He will forgive you for renouncing him in duress". Bound in chains, they proceeded closer to the fire - heated 7 times above normal - that was built to consume them for their refusal to bow before the King's image. Earlier they [...]

Christianity Has A Hold On You

Toughest times for me, have always come before major breakthroughs - that is why when people send me a message saying they are going through tough times, I always reply that the tough times will end but how would they have matured when it's over? You see, tough times come to prepare you for your future. You can't get a pure diamond without  subjecting it to the hot burning flames. To become the Father of many nations, you have to be willing to go through the ordeal of sacrificing your Isaac, trusting that your God will supply all that is needed for you to attain your destiny. To sit on the throne, you have to be willing to undergo the anguish of the cross. For you to take two steps [...]

Rejoice

Re.joice: to be glad; take delight - Dictionary.com In the past, my mood suddenly changed from good to bad just because of something someone said. Say for example, someone is very rude in their approach to me, I noticed that I suddenly became sad. That one act of rudeness could ruin my entire day. The same thing happened when I noticed someone did not take my advice, or if someone makes a decision that is way ward. Overtime, I learned to be more patient with people. Not everyone knows what I know. I don't know all they know either. I don't know their upbringing or family life, which may have triggered their reaction. I learned to apply more patience in my walk with people and to rejoice irrespective of. The [...]

What A Life

This article is written by Loba Ogunmola, a youth leader with integrity based in Indianapolis. You can learn more about Loba and follow him here Over time I’ve discovered there is no absolute finish line for everyone in the race of life. Our tracks are different and our durations are different. The only thing we have in common is the same empire. For instance, someone graduates at age 20 and struggles for another 5 years to get a job, another might graduate at 25 and get a job immediately. One can marry a virgin and wait for the next decade to have the blessing of children, another lady probably after having series of abortions in her past, becomes a mother almost immediately after marriage. A fellow becomes MD at 38 [...]
