God’s Plan For My Career
As a freshly graduated University student, I took a job offer on the North side of Indianapolis. Why not? The wealthy people seem to live there, and there seemed to be more job opportunities as well. God’s hand must surely be in this for I had watched His move closely. Or so I thought. But God had other plans. As I signed the offer letter and prepared to move North, God provided a better offer closer to the South side (where God originally planted me when He sent me to Indianapolis). This new offer was just right, as it provided me with travel opportunities and the opportunity to pursue a Master’s degree. I thought I had it figured out but again, God had a better plan
Capitulate To The Better Plan
The message I am passing across is this: Don’t be discouraged when something you hoped for or worked hard for did not materialize at the time, or the way you wanted it. God’s timing is always the best. Yes, your desires are good and pure, but is it God’s time yet? What if God has a better idea, a better plan. What if God is trying to shield you from a seeming blessing that will destroy you? In life, I’ve found the most success, when I capitulate to God’s will because God has always had and will forever have, a better plan.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. – Isaiah 55;8-9
